Posted by Robin on September 21st, 2007

How about those times when there is some tedious job that is holding you back from working on other important tasks, which in turn hold you back from making more money quicker? You feel it is an expense you can’t handle or you think it is just easier to do it yourself than instructing someone else to do it.

What if you could outsource effectively and your business flourished because of it?

Check out the totally free guide that Sweetie wrote just to answer all of our outsourcing questions

The Work at Home Moms Community (The WC for short) a free, printed mini mag that I have talked about in the past is offering an online Moms Holiday Catalog for the upcoming season and you can get quite a spacious ad for $50.

The best part of this is that the holiday catalog is being promoted to all 8,000+ WC News subscribers by sending them a postcard mailing mail telling them to look at the moms holiday catalog online!!!!!

I think it’s a great opportunity to get your business/ items promoted this year.

Check it out, hurry it starts Nov1st 2007

Time Out

Posted by Rebecca on September 14th, 2007

Having five children we have obviously had to use the “time out” technique many times. Having the kids sit quietly for a few minutes depending on their age to slow down and change their negative behavior and to apologize for whatever may have happened.

Yesterday I had to give myself a “Time Out“! I knew by how tired I was, physically and mentally my mind and body were absolutely drained and exhausted of all or most hope. As well as being able to think straight and organize my day I was making silly mistakes and taking way to much to heart during the days leading up to yesterday.

After a rough hectic morning I signed out! It was hard to do, I am always on the go, go, go. But I chose, to refuse to think about my business, my home’s many to do’s, the kids chores that were unfinished, as well as some relationship prickers that had been eating away at me.

Every time the thoughts and inner dialogue would start I consciously chose to not think about them and told them Nope not gonna go there today. I went for a little walk with our youngest and then we watched a movie start to finish. Thankfully the weather was gorgeous so I sat outside with my coffee and just “was”. I listened to every birds song and delighted my eyes and artistic spirit with the sunny feast of sunshine sprinkling it’s way down through the trees leaves and gentle breeze. Absorbing and breathing it all in.

The only to do’s I did were a few dishes and breakfast and lunch for the kids at home. By the time our older children came home from school and I felt refreshed and not aggravated with the things that hadn’t been done the day before. When my husband got home we were able to catch up from many days apart. He must have felt the good vibes too, because he zipped to the store to get some goodies for us to make for dinner.

He made a nice clam bake of clams, corn and sweet potatoes, and we treated the kids to Happy meals.

I fell asleep soundly ad easily for the first time in weeks and am refreshed to catch up with so much to do today.

With all this I guess what I am trying to share is We as Mom Business owners have to, HAVE TO take time for ourselves. We give and give to so many people and more that we have to put back some peace in ourselves in order to smile more and not take things so seriously or personally.  To be able to give out again and again with more love and patience.

Give yourself a time out! It’s healthy and washes the negativity away, leaving room for hope and happiness again.

All the best,

Rebecca

Our Sweetie RSS Feed Reader is here

Posted by Robin on September 12th, 2007

I promised a RSS Feed Reader when this blog got started and now it’s here and ready for you to use.

If you are reading blogs and there are some favorites that you would like to keep up on, then you need a feed reader to keep them organized. Organizing your feeds allows you to read recent posts on your favorite blogs without having to visit each blog individually (sometimes we get sidetracked and end up all over the internet and then we forget all about them). I personally designate a time or day to read my favorites.

So, when you are on your favorite blogs or websites and see this orange icon

you can subscribe to it’s feed by clicking on the orange icon.
Once the url of that particular feed is on your browser you can copy it into the wizard of the Sweetie Reader.

Go ahead and download it now

http://www.momsbusinessnetwork.com/sweetiereader.zip
you have to unzip the file and download all 3 files.  There is a nice pdf manual with detailed usage  instructions and images to guide you in that zip file as well.

I’d love to hear your feedback on using it, please leave some comments here.

Enjoy your new , cool tool!
