I never could understand the moms who used to say they can’t wait for school to start, until now. I could not wait for the first day to come. The kids were getting so bored and all they wanted to do was watch tv, and fight. Today was the second day back, woo hoo!! It’s nice and quiet, everyone is in bed, tired out from their busy days at school.
It was a very exciting first day of school though. My son started kindergarten and he couldn’t wait for the bus to pick him up. He left feeling very much the big shot he is, you see he’s five now. That’s what he tells me: “mommy I can do it, I’m five”. Oh, and he gets a lunch box too, a very cool Pirates of the Caribbean one.
The Princess herself was also feeling very grown up seeing she’s now seven and in second grade. She loves her class and her teacher. That’s all I can get out of her right now. For some reason second grade is very hush hush. So can’t wait for them teenage years!!!
So, seeing that school is started you would think I would be able to work on some crafts right? Wrong! My little guy (2yr old) realized he is now the only one in the house and decided that he doesn’t have to take a nap.
Right now I am working on a boot sock and trying to get a lace pattern sock done. I forgot I was working on the lace sock (just found it) before I started the boot sock. I think I will finish the boot sock then switch to the lace sock, so I can have two! I also have requests for three more pairs of socks, so I best get knitting.

Just checking to see how your socks turned out.
