Have you Twittered yet?

Posted by Robin on July 31st, 2007

I just learned of Twitter from Kelly McCausey, popular host of  wahmtalkradio.com and mentor to many moms in the work at home community.  Although, I need a reminder to update mine, it is a neato way to keep tabs on your online buds and contacts.

Basically, you can follow and be followed by others throughout the day.

Below is my twitter badge that I can place on my websites and other social networking sites .  You can choose which type of badge is suitable for you, this happens to be the flash badge, but there are just simple html codes you can insert on your pages.

Get twittering, maybe I’ll follow you.

My Addiction

Posted by Angela on July 31st, 2007

Yes, I have an addiction. It started when I was 9 yrs. old, when my grandmother taught me to crochet. I would sit and watch her for hours as she would take a ball of yarn and turn it into a wonderful blanket. Finally, she decided she was going to show me how to make my own. It took a bit for me to catch on, seeing I’m left handed and she’s right handed. That was interesting. But finally I had a blanket for my baby doll, boy was she happy! Ever since then I was hooked, and I haven’t stopped since.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, my addiction is yarn. I have bags of it just waiting to be made into something. I can’t walk into a Micheal’s or any other yarn shop without buying any yarn. It just calls to me, buy me, buy me!

I’m starting to notice that my addiction is rubbing off on my daughter. She’s seven and has already knit her own scarf ( I’m so proud). She loves yarn and everything crafty. I have decided to try a new craft, something she can help with. We are going to dye our own yarn! I found some great directions on how to dye yarn using Kool-Aid, from www.knitty.com . It just so happens I have some yarn to use for this, now I just need some Kool-Aid. I guess it’s off to the grocery store for me. Stay tuned to see how it goes!
